The Block-Centered Flow Packages are used to enter certain basic properties of the model such as the elevations of layer boundaries and the hydraulic properties. Three versions have been produced. The original version BCF1 was part of the original model. It was replaced by BCF2. In BCF1, cells that dried out became inactive and could never become wet again. BCF2 added the capability for cells to become wet if a neighboring cell was wet. BCF2 was replaced by BCF3. In BCF3 alternative methods for calculating the transmissivity between blocks were introduced. These alternative methods can produce more accurate results when used properly. All later versions of the Block Centered Flow packages are backwards compatible with earlier versions.
